Announcements for the week of March 24th- 31st

Personal Progress- The month of March we are working on the value Individual Worth.
Lesson topics- In Sunday School and YW we are learning about the Atonement
Conducting- Miamaids are conducting.

BYU Fireside- THIS Thursday, March 28th at the Mission Viejo Stake Center, 7pm. Youth and parents are invited to attend a special BYU Education Fireside presented by BYU Admissions. Question and Answer time will be included. Dress appropriately for the chapel.
YW Broadcast- At the Stake Center, Saturday March 30th, at 5pm. Afterwards we will do a light dinner as a ward at the Stake Center. Soup and rolls is what we will bring, and we are asking you girls to bring a dessert.


Youth Conference-  PLEASE GET YOUR MEDICAL RELEASE SLIP IN NO LATER THAN SUNDAY ( EASTER ) TO SISTER SHERMAN. girlforgod27@aol.com is where you can scan and send them to, or call her so that you can figure out a way for her to get the paper. (949) 812-0057. Youth conference is going to be April 19th- 21st. It is for youth ages 14 and up. What the stake is asking you to do is 75 acts of service before April 19th. They gave cards that have little spots on them to check off as you do acts of service. Their goal is 400 youth and leaders times 75 acts of service = 30,000 acts of service!!! That would be awesome right?!?! They also gave us bracelets to remember to do the acts. Girls, if you have done some pay it forward acts, please share this with Sister Larsen ASAP.

Girls Camp- It is important to start thinking NOW about how you will raise money for camp. The cost is going to be about $170. Things you can do to raise money:
-Babysit
-We have a list of people who will pay for car washes, house cleaning, yard work
We will NOT be having a fundraiser this year, so keep that in mind.
Sister Cheri Haggard would love to have an occasional car wash once a month. She pays $5/10 for her Prius and $5/10 for the inside. Good/Great job.

Sister Bennett will pay someone $10 to wash and brush her dog. This could be up to 2 times a month. She also will pay $10 to have someone thoroughly clean her car.

PARENTS- if you happen to have a weekly, monthly or just one time job that you are willing to pay a young woman for, please email me and let me know of this so we can let the girls know.

~Family History~
1 & Run Challenge!- Becca and Ryan Haggard have family names to take to the temple this month. Karissa Hess has started working on hers. Will you have a family name to take to the temple this summer?
Here is your challenge- in one hour, we can get you started and actually print out a name to take to the temple for baptism. Sunday April 14th and Sunday April 28th at 4pm you have the opportunity to try during that hour with Sister Haggard. Call her and set up which date you want to do it! 949-215-4678. ONE HOUR AND WE ARE OFF AND RUNNING TO THE TEMPLE!

Temple Baptisms- NEXT TUESDAY March 26th at 4pm. If you don't have a recommend, talk to Sister Larsen or a member of the Bishopric about getting one before that date.

Laurels- Your Priest/Laurel spring formal is called the "Emerald Ball." It is a multi-stake formal at the Bell Tower in Santa Margarita. THIS Saturday March 16th, from 8:30-11:00pm. $15 a couple, purchase tickets at the door. FSOY standards apply.

Laurels, your Stake Laurel/Priest activity that was scheduled for March 12th is now TOMORROW Wed. March 13th. It will be broomball on ice in San Clemente.
